Smart Cuts & Color

I had a half head of blond foils, tint, trim and dry off for $115 at Smart cuts and colour Mentone Thrift Park store on Wed 15th July. My hairdresser was Teegan and she suggested foils underneath as she had done that previously to one of her customers. I said "great as i don't want streaky hair". I ended up with hideous orange/blond streaks, some starting at the roots, some an inch off the root line so it looked like i already had re-growth. I went back to complain and she laughed and said "i knew you'd be back" ..... so is that because she knew she had done such a terrible job? She suggested darker foils to get rid of the streaks but i didn't see the point of covering the highlights that i had paid for so I suggested an all over blond tint but she said that it wouldn't work so she would do half a head of blond foils but i would have to pay $50. I said fine as i didn't think i had a choice but now i have grey areas in my hair as she used the wrong toner or left it in for too long but after speaking to friends and another hairdresser they couldn't believe that i was charged $50, or any amount for that matter, for fixing a mistake that was so terrible that i should have been given a refund and fixed for free. I will not ever go back there as I could have done a better job with a $10 packet of do-it-yourself hair dye since I now have to walk around looking like a cheap bottle blond/grey after wasting $165!

I had my hair cut at Smart cuts and color in South Yarra and would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone, I asked for a trim and shape and agreed to have about 5cm taken off the length, she took more than 16cm off and has left the bottom of my hair looking like rats have chewed at it. She has left strands of hair that she missed that are at least 4cm longer, areas where she has taken chunks out, it isn't cut straight or in a V shape, its just choppy and uneven and one side is longer than the other, she didn't even check. NOT HAPPY. Pay the extra money and have it done by trained stylists,

The hairdressing staff at your Langwarring shop are great but the girls work under extremely hot conditions. The air conditing does not work in the Langwarrin shop. This can be very uncomfortable for clients expressly the older people, I am sure it is very uncomfortable for the staff with using hair dryers and washing and drying the laundry which is done in the little room in the shop. May be this is something that should be taken up with centre management .
