Dominate Mowing

my fiance had organised to have lawns done, we were quoted $80 or $65 per hour to mow and whipper snip our BACK lawn and done on the tuesday 8am.

they never showed. then Wednesday recieved a message stating they would be by after 10am, they were told no one would be home until 10:30, showed up and messaged my fiance at 9:58 stating our dogs needed to be put inside, thankfully my brother inlaw ended up being home.

the back lawns were done, however after over filling our bin they thought it was a bright idea to leave a bunch of grass clippings over the top of our storm drain in the bottom corner of our yard without asking what we would like done with the excess clippings, my fiance told them they couldn't stay there as it would block excess water from draining if we got rain.

they then told us they could take the clippings for a fee. we agreed to this. they then whipper snipped minor parts of our front yard that they were not hired to do. in total they were ok our property doing "work" for 1 hour and 2 minutes (only due to doing work we hadn't asked for)

at the end he tried to charge us $130. my fiance had told him that he had already quoted us $80, he tried to deny this and then read the messages trying to make our my fiance to be a liar. after realising he did quote us $80 (due to believing it would take an hour and 30 minutes). this seemed to have really annoyed him. we ended up paying the full $80 due to the grass clippings but in the invoice we were sent to take the grass clippings to the tip only cost $8.85 so we were still over charged because it was an hours worth of work ($65) and an $8.85 tip fee. coming to $73.85. we were never told there would be a tip fee in the quote.

to make things worse, this man has then put our home up on his site as a "completed job" despite not even asking permission for putting photos up. we were horrified by this as we are extremely private people, not to mention they put up work of what they didn't do as my fiance had done the front yard, not them.
