Christmas World Campbelltown

First time customer and had spent nearly $200 only to return home to find one of the christmas lights damaged. Returned back to the store within 2 hrs of the initial purchase only to be told that there is nothing they can do but to repair the item or to go back home and repair it myself, no opportunity for a refund. The lady was very blunt, dismissive, asympathic and in fact further damaged the product on inspection. After being questioned on whether or not I opened the box (which was obvious as it had to be opened to physically see and check the quality of the product), I answered yes and she instantly refused to provide a reasonable solution and told me they couldn't do anything with the faulty product. After showing evidence that the item was purchased earlier in the day and unused, the only offer was to replace with the same product however evidently damaged and repaired. On refusal to accept this, was advised to leave a complaint. No customer should be forced to accept a damaged product or forced to repair a product that should have been new to begin with. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and have reported this to the ACCC.
