Ron Marriott asked me to meet me at the chemist warehouse parking lot and pay him cash for repairing my vacuum. He collected $190 off me, never sent me an invoice and didn't explain what was wrong with the vacuum in the first place. The vacuum had not been fixed and was still not working. When I called him on the phone he said "that is what you foreign people get for coming to this country". And hung up on me. Unfortunately, being a dispute and me not having any proof of his racist speech, there was nothing the police could do. He insisted I'd take back the vacuum to him, which I obviously didn't after being harassed by him on the phone. He has no physical address for his company, took my payment in cash, no invoice provided. Shouted at me "40 years in the business" and harassed me with racist speech. He has been removed from the Nilfisk list of technicians for the Northem Rivers area and the manager told me he is known in Lismore for being aggressive towards women.
