We had the pleasure of working with Peter and his team at Taylor’d Distinction for the design of our new forever home, which is soon to commence construction. From the first meeting with Peter on site we knew it was going to be a seamless and enjoyable journey for the design. Our dream home came together with the amazing design and expertise of Peter!! From his first design which he pretty much nailed, it was so easy to incorporate any changes of the plans we needed.



We can’t forget to mention Jagon either who was fantastic to work with too and kept us up to date with those 3D visualisations of our design which is such a great thing to see. The attention to detail from these guys is amazing!! You get a real feel as to what your house is going to look like.

My wife and i contacted Peter after visiting friends who utilised Taylor’d Distinction to design their dream home. After our initial conversation over the phone, we immediately felt comfortable with how Peter made us feel about being completely involved in our dream design.

Peter travelled 5hrs to view our chosen residential block to ensure he had a complete picture of how our ideas and his design ideas could make the most of our unique seaside block of land.

Peter provided numerous floor plans for review based on the chosen design ideas and was very accepting of changes we thought matched our requirements without compromising the overall design.

One of the big things that resonated with me throughout our design process with Peter Taylor, was his early comment that the plans will evolve naturally throughout the process. That is exactly what happened with us - and with each evolution the design really began to come alive. Pete was relaxed, professional and a real joy to deal with. Pete and the team at Taylor'd Distinction designed our new house in 2018. The build from Briscoe Homes was finished September 2019 and we moved in shortly afterwards. Pete took us from concept through design, and was consulted during the build. The home that was built has proved to be perfect for us and confirms a great design by the Taylor'd Distinction. Pete Taylor worked closely with us over a two year period designing our dream home. The entire process was a relaxed friendly experience with Pete being extremely flexible and helpful. We took our time gathering our ideas and researching the features we wanted our home to have. Pete gave us various options and once we were ready to proceed the design process was quite quick. His detailed knowledge of the local area and technical proficiency has resulted in a home design that reflects our taste and brief. As first home buyers of 'ya classic beach shack' we were entering unchartered territory full of of major renovations, but with the help and guidance from Pete we have managed to keep the original feel and style of the shack without losing its history to the modern world.

We were pretty overwhelmed with the amount of work ahead of us but were instantly put at ease as soon as we met Pete. Pete has a way about how he works with his clients, he really includes you in the whole process and never makes you feel like an idea is silly. He really encouraged us to put everything we wanted into the house and then somehow made it all work perfectly.

We felt strongly about the history of the house and keeping it as original as possible. Pete was extremely accommodating throughout the whole process, and was just as in love with that house as we were.

Pete isn't your average designer, we felt like he was one of us. He was genuine and easy to work with and always quick to respond to any queries we had, and his attention to detail was second to none.

We could not be more stoked with the job Pete has done for us - he has gone above and beyond and exceeded all our expectations. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Pete, and encourage anyone else thinking of the same to invite him into your home.
