Gav's Handyman Services

We employed gavs handyman services to build an outdoor area which we were advised would take a maximum of two weeks to build. He requested over half of the total quote for the purpose of materials. Almost immediately he began not answering his phone and only responding via text messages.

Over the following 6 weeks he managed to show up for about 4.5 days in total and provided an array of excuses for not showing up. When quizzed on when we could expect our project to be completed I was advised that it would all be completed the following day (Christmas eve). After finally showing up at 2:30pm on Christmas eve we again asked when he would be finished and were advised it would be at least another week. We advised him to finish up the guttering on the roof area and his services would no longer be required. After heading back inside, we were greeted by him five minutes later advising that he had to "head to bunnings". He failed to show up again and has been unresponsive to contact attempts. Work completed against the quote provided has left him owing us at least $1500 which we have contacted him to receive back.

Given our experience with gavs handyman services, I would definitey NOT recommend anyone hire him as we were far from satisfied with the work (or lack thereof) completed on our property. This was a very frustrating and stressful experience for us and we would not like anyone else to have to go through this. Definitely NOT recommended!!! Unfortunately I was unable to give 0/5 stars. Beware hiring this company.
