What is Bridgestone Manufacturer Warranty?

At Bridgestone Select we offer our customers peace of mind through various warranty solutions. In the event of damage, all Bridgestone tyres purchased in Australia from an authorised Bridgestone dealer can be assessed under our manufacturer warranty. Assessments are completed by a trained professional from our technical team. Where we are unable to have a technician assess a customer’s tyres in store, a customer’s tyres will need to be surrendered if they wish to proceed with the claim.

What is Bridgestone Road Hazard Warranty?

Customers who purchase two or more Bridgestone or Firestone passenger tyres from a Bridgestone Select, Bridgestone Service Centre or a Bridgestone Tyre Centre are eligible for the Bridgestone Road Hazard Warranty. This warranty guarantees that a tyre with an irreparable puncture caused by gutter damage, potholes or damaged roads, breaks or cuts from foreign objects on the road will be replaced free of charge if worn under 10%.

Why choose Bridgestone Select for my next logbook service?

Here are just some of the great reasons your car is in safe hands with us: Stores Australia-wide; Transparent pricing and quoting; Manufacturer standard processes and procedures; Convenient opening hours, including Saturday; Service to the vehicle’s manufacturer requirements; Service log book validation; Only genuine or equivalent parts, oils and lubricants used; Fully qualified mechanics at all Auto Service stores.

How much air should I put in my tyres? Why should I consider nitrogen inflation?

It is recommended that tyres be inflated to the pressure shown on the Vehicle Tyre Placard located in your car. The tyre placard will show the minimum inflation pressure recommended for city and/or highway (or heavily loaded) use. The use of nitrogen inflation has the potential to provide better tyre performance (reduced pressure loss and extended tyre-life). Nitrogen inflation can be used on any air filled tyre. The suitability of Nitrogen inflation is best discussed with your Tyre Dealer.

What is run flat technology?

Run-flat tyres are designed to be capable of operating at lower speed and for a limited distance without air, in the case of a puncture. If a puncture occurs, run flat tyres allow you to keep driving for a limited amount of time. In normal operation RFT tyres still require inflation to the pressure shown on the vehicle tyre placard. Not all vehicles can be fitted with Run Flat Tyres.

What is Bridgestone Wear Life Guarantee?

The Bridgestone Wear Life Guarantee is available to customers who purchase four or more Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tyres and have a wheel alignment in the same transaction. This warranty provides assurance for customers up to 50,000 km. Where a claim is being made with tyres under 50,000 km, a pro-rata credit will be applied. Good general vehicle and tyre maintenance will be taken into consideration when Bridgestone Select assess a warranty claim.

What is the Uniform Tyre Quality Grade (UTQG) standard?

The UTQG is a global standard that helps customers compare tyre performance in terms of tread, traction and temperature. Every tyre manufacturer is required to independently test and brand these ratings on tyres released to the market. While the standards are a good indicator, it is important to keep in mind that tyre performance will vary depending on road conditions and use.

How can I find my nearest Bridgestone Select store?

The quickest way to find a local store is to call us on 13 12 29 or to use the nearest store finder on our website.

What is rolling resistance in a tyre?

The rolling resistance of a tyre is the power needed to roll that tyre along the road. A ‘Low Rolling Resistance’ tyre will require less power to roll along the road, so has the potential to provide better fuel-economy for your car.

What size tyre should I get for my car? How can I extend the wear life of my tyres?

The tyres on your car are best replaced with the size nominated on the vehicle tyre placard. Changing the tyre size away from the vehicle manufacturer’s standard size could make that vehicle un-roadworthy, which in turn could render it ‘un-insured’. Tyre life can be maximised by correct and regular tyre and vehicle maintenance (correct Tyre Pressure, Regular Tyre Rotation and Regular Wheel-Alignment).

How long will my tyres last?

There are three primary factors that impact on tyre life, type of tyre, driving conditions, driving style and level of tyre maintenance. We recommend a good level of tyre maintenance on all tyres to include tyre pressure checks, regular tyre rotations and vehicle wheel-alignments. Correct maintenance will always allow your tyres to last as long as possible.

How often should I change my tyres?

Tyres must be replaced when the tyre tread wears level with the Tread-wear Indicators (TWI’s) which are positioned in the main tyre tread grooves of all road-going tyres. The tread-wear indicator is designed to appear when 1.5mm of tread is remaining. If a tyre is known to be older than 6 years (from date of manufacture) it should be checked by a tyre professional for signs of age degradation. Your tyre dealer will be able to tell the age of a tyre from the serial number on the sidewall.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Bridgestone Malaga

I wanted to share my unforgettable experience on December 27th. I had an appointment at 11 AM, for the installation of new tyres, but the experience was far from satisfactory. After a mere three-hour wait, I was informed that only three of the tyres I ordered were in stock. What a pleasant surprise! Given the holiday season, I was offered the option of OVATION tyres. With no other choice and an urgent need for tyres, I accepted. After another 1.5 hours, my car was finally ready. However, as I drove home, my car vibrated like a boat and made noise like a plane, refusing to go straight, despite having paid extra for wheel alignment. I returned on Saturday to address the issue and was told my alignment was I am quoting the exact words "WAY TOO OUT" due to a maybe new mechanic who had already received several complaints. They assured me it was fixed and promised to replace the tyres if the problem continued, for an additional fee, of course. The problem did continue, but since it was Saturday and they closed early, I took leave from work on Monday and called them. I was asked to come on Tuesday as new tyres were being ordered (again, at an extra cost for which I agreed). After another two-hour wait on Tuesday, they told me they had fixed my wheel alignment, but my car still wouldn't go straight. When I requested a mechanic to accompany me for a test drive, as I was willing to pay extra charges just wanted my car to be fixed, but I was asked to pay cash directly to the mechanic – a generous offer I declined and a novel approach to customer service. After much debate, the receptionist accompanied me and again CONFIRMED the issue. She asked me to return on this coming Saturday again when the so-called expert mechanic would be available. The highlight of my experience was the kind offer of a six-pack of beer as a bribe. It's not every day that a company goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction in such a creative manner. In conclusion, I don't think I'll ever forget my time at Bridgestone Malaga. However, I believe I'll be taking my car this Saturday to Bob Jane or MyCar in the future, where I can pay extra to have my car fixed properly.

Subject-

Regarding poor Customer service and froudery behaviour at 1/3 carson rd malaga 6090 wa Bridgestone

Hi there,

I am writing to you regarding poor and froudery behaviour at Bridgestone Malaga one of their servicemen. My car had an issue with the front passenger side tyre and I replaced it with the spare tyre for a temporary purpose. Meanwhile, my wife inadvertently went over there to change the front passenger tire and the guy named ____ didn't check that the tire wasn't the one he left at home.

I can imagine with a busy schedule that he could make this stupid mistake but on top of that, he cheated by replacing the front passenger tyre with the rear and taking over the rear tyre in his own possession and then putting on front passenger side brand new Bridgestone tyre from his shop. When my wife came back home and she told me that she changed the tyre and then we discussed the defective tyre at home. After that, I called them and attended their place in person to rectify the issue but the person tried to make me fool either by saying that they always got the tyre pickup on Wednesday and that day was Tuesday when I was standing at their premises. Moreover, the work done for tyre was on last Thursday so their tyre pickup schedule was about to come on the next day.

He did not admit that he made this mistake rather he did not care about any customer service or work ethics. So I have already complained to Bridgestone about that. Fraudsters like this will surely bring the name of Bridgestone down one day. So don't go to them, especially in Malaga.

Stopped by Bridgestone Select Malaga this evening and spotted Allan straight away. All I wanted was some advice about an engine light. He looked busy and tired yet didnt take him 2 seconds to think twice. He said he will have one of his mechanic take a look at it straight away.
The problem wasnt fixed but I drove away happy. Thankyou Allan this is what good customer service is all about.

I recommend anyone to take their vehicle here. Professional service, excellent advice and recommendations from Jeff the mechanic. Job is done promptly and quality parts are used. I am pleased I decided to take my vehicle here as it is close by and the amount of problems they picked up did not match the last service of 'things the car needs".
The company also works around both school and work hours.
I also dropped my car off at 8:30 am and had a call by 9:30 - 10am to tell me what the car needed and the prices I would be up for.
Well done select I will be bringing both my vehicles to you from now on. A+
