Vinci Chrome

BRILLIANT CHROME-PLATERS !! We have been extremely happy VINCI customers for several years now, and as such, we thoroughly and most emphatically disagree with the previous reviewer !! Therefore, having received back today yet another lot of superbly chrome-plated items, we have decided to post a review ourselves. Thanks to VINCIs flawless work, we are able to gradually restore our collection of old chrome Art Deco lamps back to their original former glory: even the most old, frail/delicate and/or intricately cast lamp parts, whatever the size or shape, type of metal, or condition, come back looking brand new and perfect in every detail. In the past weve had some really terrible experiences with other local (Sydney) chrome-plating companies, i.e., lamp parts very poorly (thinly and/or faultily) chromed; the detailing on some elaborate lamps parts blurred and even completely obscured, not to mention dings, dents and actual (irreparable!) breakages - until a friend recommended VINCI. And ever since the first time they chrome-plated some items for us, several years ago, we have never looked back, even though this means sending the items across the whole country and back. (N.b. When the items are returned, they are extremely well-packaged.) Ok, depending on the difficulty of the work to be done, and the time of year, their turnaround time can sometimes be somewhat long-ish (though never more than 8 weeks) but then Rome wasnt built in a day, and high-quality work takes time. Plus, most importantly, they dont take any liberty whatsoever with your items, they always follow your instructions to a tee. And, last but not least, ALSO a very important factor: their prices are very reasonable !! Therefore, as always, a huge THANK YOU to Mike and all his very competent and friendly team, keep up the great work guys !!

Im apalled with this Vinci chrome Malaga, the work I got done- which was chroming a set of wiper arms off a holden gemini. The lost my 1st set & didnt ring me 2 let me know, I had 2 ring them, 2 find out what was happening after 3 wks. They bought a 2nd set 2 replace my original set they lost. After this "2nd" set was ready (I rang again) I went to pick them up to find out Michael had the wrong type- off an earlier model Gemini. So more weeks of waiting he gets the right year wiper arms, chromes them (i ring again) 2 find out when they'll be ready, so again I go in to find the little notches on the arms that hold the wiper arms in place are broken, which makes them useless as they then wont hold the 'wiper blades' in at all. So the 4th attempt he buys another set which after he chromes, after going to pick them up 'again' the surface of the wiper arms are pitted and it looks unpresentable- disgusting- not show car quality at all!!! Michael re-chromes them AGAIN. I finally get them back after 6months of being stuffed around by Vinci Chrome. They look alright. Well after 3mths surface rust starts bubbling through the chrome surface. OMG!!! Pull my hair out. So I took them back where he grudgingly said he will re-chrome them. He didn't take any responsibility for his carless, dodgy work, doesnt care that if he didn't lose my wiper set in the 1st place he wouldnt have stuffed be around as negligently as Michael has.
1 big head ache after another. Not worth the time, cost, zero value for money, not skilled at all.
