Fleischer Continental Cakes

The once GREAT Fleischers Cakes has tumbled into stale 3 day old cakes and pastries. Was so shocked as it had previosly been FRESH baked delicious cakes.

Their Range is too large for One Day of sales, so many are kept on shelves and in fridge for a few days.

A JUST baked Vanilla Slice with crispy pastry and fresh custard (and the Fleischer Exclusive Jam between pastry top and icing) is equisite, but sadly it is hit and miss finding those items that were TODAYS bake.

The Vanilla Slices were soggy and the Custard a bit dehydrated and tainted with "fridge" flavor.

Nothing like what we used to Buy and love.

Specifically asked server for an Easter cake that was baked today, when I got it home and looked at it, it was definitely not freshly baked, with the icing sugar melted, and upon tasting it, was clearly not fresh. I buy these every year. Was different batch to rest of cakes on display in cabinet. Went back and Pastry chef proceeds to argue, touch it and cut it and argue some more. First time I have had to return something here after being a long time customer for many many years - and after the awful attitude will be my last visit. If it tastes not fresh today (being a day or so old), it will be inedible tomorrow when it was to be served for family. Awful attitude, and a long time customer lost over $25.
