Mansfield Produce & Pet Supplies

I have never previously posted negative comments online but I need to post the negative experience I had today at the Mansfield produce and pet supplies store.

I purchased a week ago some pet shampoo when I got home I noticed the product had an expiry date of December 2022. I returned to the store today with the product and receipt to get a refund. I was told I could only get a gift voucher. I explained that I did not need anything else from them at this time so would be happy with a refund. I was told that her policy was no refunds and was offered a gift voucher again. Again I explained that a refund what was I needed. She refused. I explained that as she had sold me a product that was almost 2 years out of expiry date I was entitled to a refund by consumer law as it was not legal to sell an expired product to a customer and not refund the purchase. She told me I was breaking the law, she threw the money over the counter at me and told me to get out and leave the store, which I happily did. Such bad customer service and how badly run is this business that they don’t even check to see if their products are within expiration dates. Never going back again.
