OZ Design Furniture Maroochydore

I bought a large handmade table from OzDesign Maroochydore and besides a great first interaction with Suzie I have nothing good to say about this place. I went in a week after paying the deposit to look at other furniture and found that our table was 5% less because it had been discontinued a month prior. Staff didn't want to apply that reduction to our order and basically ignored my wife and I so I walked out to look for a console table elsewhere.



10 weeks after ordering I was told it would be another 4-5 weeks because of COVID delays. I'm not sure how you can blame COVID for a Victorian hardwood table made locally but staff were abrupt and did not offer any further explanation. It ended up arriving early and everything initially appeared to be ok.



I was away for 2 days and sat down at the table for the first time and found some deep scratches in the middle of the table top that can only be seen at certain angles under lights due to the high shine finish. The owner replied to my email but was not interested in physically assessing the damage and instead said the delivery guys thought it was fine. I don't have kids or a dog and the table had not been used but apparently fair compensation for a scratched $2750 table is a can of polish and a refusal to address the issue further.



I have several more rooms to furnish and at this stage I won't even consider OzDesigns.

Very rude owner...my experience with maroochydore store was unbelievable. I ordered sofa for bnb then after got home..just an hour..I asked to change size.. Very rude not wanting then I decided new size would not work so I cancelled and asked for in-store credit..no order was placed..it was coming from Sydney.. and only couple hours i cancelled. Would not give in store credit unless I bought same value which was 2000 dollar...I refused lost 700 deposit. I wish I had of read reviews on google and Facebook regards this store. Many upset customers with similar issue to mine. MY ADVICE IS I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO RESEARCH WITH REVIEWS OF THIS STORE BEFORE YOU BUY. AMANDA
