On The Ball Bathrooms

To start off I would like to say how appreciative I am for how very patient James and Shane were with me and the changes I needed to be made. They accommodated me above and beyond what others might have done and they did excellent quality work too. My bathroom has been beautifully built, very professional. I made a mistake with how I wanted it done the first time and against there advice, i did it the way I wanted and as you could guess I wanted it to change but my I was pleasantly surprised when they made the changes for me. They were a pleasure to work with and were really nice people as well. Me and my partner I enjoying the bathroom I will definitely use them again and will definitely recommend them to others as well.

Where do I start! I originally contacted on the ball back in 2012 when I and my husband were getting a few quotes for our ensuite. Not knowing what it costs I was a bit shocked after it was higher than my $3,000 budget. After getting over the shock we regretfully even though we liked James and his quote went with the slightly cheaper quote as they offered us the earth and we thought how bad a bathroom renovation could get. Well to cut a long story short the company we went with which I should name but wont did a horrible job! They said 2 weeks, they were over a month sub contractor after subcontractor didnt know what they doing and the project manager left the job after a few days. Overall once this other company got our money they didn't provide half the service they said they would and I should have known better. Enough with the negative but after years of saving again we knew we wanted to do the main bathroom and we had James back. What we liked straight away was, A he was still going 4 years later! And B he treated us the same knowing we had gone with someone else. Having gone through all the hassles before we did put him through the ringer with questions after questions as we were worried of any tradespeople since then and he patiently looked after us every step of the way. They did what they said they would and even through there was asbestos found after removal of walls they did not charge us any extra for the removal. To say that we were happy with everything was a understatement. I know people dont read into reviews much but I wish I had read a story like mine before we went through the nightmare of the first bathroom and I would honestly say that James/Shane and the rest of the boys are the best tradespeople we have come across not because of what work they did but for giving us the most personal experience we could have asked for and our bathroom looks amazing its on their Facebook page on royal street in Tuart Hill.

Shane and James remodelled 2 bathrooms and installed a new toilet for us in a house built in 1960. It is a rental house and so our goals were budget, functionality, durability and aesthetics. James worked closely with us to see that these goals were met. The completed project is beautiful with quality work and within budget. During the construction they ran into a couple of issues that we were not aware of at the beginning, and they took care of them at no extra charge. Complicating factors were that the house had to have foundation work before they could begin, and we had to return to our home in the Sydney before construction began. James was so great with communication and coordination every step of the way even though we were thousands of kilometres away. We will definitely call On the Ball Bathrooms for any future renovating work and will ask for James to help us plan and execute the project. We heartily recommend both on the ball bathrooms and Shane Ball to all our friends and family.

On the ball bathrooms was one of the businesses that provided us with a quote for a total refurbishment of our bathroom. Thankfully we decided to engage James. He worked with us in order to achieve what we wanted. This was our first time renovating and James was always happy to go over everything with us at any stage and was always available. They provided us with the breakdown of everything and i'm pleased to say he stuck to absolutely everything - to the daily schedule, to the agreed budget and there were no surprises at all at the end of the project. Our house was left in a tidy order every single day, we are more than pleased with the result, our bathroom looks brilliant and I would highly recommend James and the team to everyone who's looking to renovate their bathroom. James and Shane were professional, communicates everything to you, have attention to detail and most importantly works hard to achieve exactly what you want. They are the most professionally family run business I have ever seen I couldn't spend 10 minutes with my family! But they really go an extra mile for there clients and makes sure everything runs smoothly and seamlessly. Highly recommended

You will not find better tradesmen in Perth! My bathroom is only small 2m x 1.8m with the job involving the removal of the old shower cubicle, toilet, basin and tiles and then installing a new shower bath, basin, toilet, re-plastering the walls, tile, re-fit the existing shower, new light and tile the floor.I did so much research so after finding such good things about on the ball and seeing there work I thought Id contact. James arrived very promptly and my immediate impression was someone who is knowledgeable, efficient, and professional and (importantly for me) clean. James listened to my requirements and made sensible suggestions to improve on my ideas. Within 24 hours James had provided a very reasonably priced itemised quote and a date for installation, which at the time seemed a long way off (26th Jan 2016) but which was definitely worth the wait. James always e-mailed me before installation to confirm the date to start and arrived at 7.45am (every morning) to start the work. Every day Shane, James and Shayne and I think Aaron was his name worked like Trojans to complete the job, cleaning up as they went, keeping me involved in the process and asking for my decisions were needed. They were a pleasure to have in my home, cheerful, trustworthy, professional, and courteous and as a bonus did not need endless cups of tea. The job was not without it's surprises which were resolved on the spot with my consent. I love my new bathroom, the tiling is spot on and feels very upmarket! Having a big job like this is always a bit of a worry and you can never be sure what is going to happen. Be assured if you hire James and Shane to do your bathroom you will be over the moon with the price, workmanship and the result and you will miss their company when they've gone, which speaks volumes.

Today i am putting in writing about how extremely pleased we are with bathroom renovation Shane installed for us. In all aspects of the planning, ordering and installation we have appreciated how hands on to guide us through the process he was to make sure everything was perfect.

To further comment on our experience with on the ball i have to say we got another company to start out renovation but after mistake after mistake i couldn't continue to use them as i know they were going to end it all in a mess. So we were incredibly thorough and probably asked and grilled Shane with way too many questions but i can say he passed all tests we through at him. So i can not recommend them enough! We told them to put us down as a reference as i know how hard it can be to find the right stranger in your home

After doing some homework looking for a suitable bathroom renovator to undertake our proposed bathroom alterations in 2015 we settled on using James from on the ball bathrooms as he was very approachable and was more than happy to help with the alterations on our tight budget.

James initially gave us a quote and then we were able to do some things ourselves like painting and decorating and he helped us get discounts where possible to keep our costs down. We lived in the house for as long as possible as we were adding on extra family room and a kitchen remodel as well as the bathroom but basically left the rest of the house untouched. Mike was very good at keeping us in touch with what was coming next and not interfering with the day to day living of our household as much as possible when doing the bathroom. If James says he will get back to you he will which I really appreciated.

The workmanship was of a high standard and James plus the rest of the team really understood that we didnt want the bathroom to look like it had been added onto and used lots of tricks of the trade to help with the overall finished look. He has a very good friendly family team and they were good at keeping the building site tidy after the days work. It turned out to be a very good experience and we are more than happy with our new bathroom addition and its made a big difference to our family life. I am more than happy to recommended on the ball bathrooms to anyone and will use them again if needed in the future.

We are delighted with all you have done to our bathroom. We needed someone to re design the room and have an input regarding the re-positioning of everything to make more space. Well, they listened to our needs and came up with precisely what we had in mind. Plus some! They came up with solutions and had a great flair for design. Its obvious they do enjoy the creative part of their job and certainly are good at it. Also it was so good to just leave you to complete the work with all tradesman in your team, As a bonus, Shane and James were totally nice people and a pleasure to have in our house.

I can honestly highly recommend them to anyone and if anyone wants to ring me, no problem.

To Whom It May Concern
I bought a house that was almost 60 years old. Besides requiring new wiring and plumbing, the bathrooms were both ugly and functioned poorly. I hired on the ball because they had redone the bathrooms in my previous residence and I had been very happy with the results.

They worked well with a team of guys to bring my house up to livability and secured all correct council permissions for me to install a bathroom in my basement which was to become my studio. One of On the Balls great strengths is that they pays attention not only to the functionality of the spaces they alter but to the aesthetics and to small details that could easily be overlooked.

The main bathroom was tiny and inconvenient. Shane knocked out the linen closet next to it creating much more space and a perfect place for the bathtub. He installed a heater and good lighting. Again, because i am short, he installed the shower at a height that works for me. Besides the fittings the advice on selecting everything from flooring, to tiles to tubs and sinks has been invaluable.

Shane and James have good taste combined with his sensitivity to my needs, extensive knowledge of materials and processes and his ability to think outside the box have created a home I love to live in and inviting to my friends. Thanks guys

I would like to share my good experience with on the ball bathrooms.

Growing up in a home where renovations were a constant part of life (those renovations just never seem to end), it took me a long time before I decided to re-do my bathroom. I was very cautious, suspicious and picky when I just started looking. Luckily - in an early stage of my search I was referred by a good friend to on the ball bathrooms and to Shane Ball - all along the process Shane was there for me, helping and supporting in every possible way.

My deepest impression was seeing him handling issues unforeseen and without having them influence the process. I was very happy to work with Shane, Pauline who help me design was fantastic as im hopeless with colours. The team was too very attentive, sensitive and was very helping with his problem solving approach. I'm happy to say that it was finished within the week and 8 months later we have not had a single issue - I have a new bathroom that I enjoy using! thank you on the ball bathrooms!
