Camptoo was declared insolvent by a court order in the Netherlands in October 2022. At that time we had paid a AUD295.00 holding deposit for a van hire in January 2023. This plan fell over when the van owner decided to sell the van. All attempts to contact the company since, to request the return of our deposit, have failed. Despite a continuing web presence this company is no longer trading from its advertised premises in Collingwood, Victoria, or anywhere else in Australia.

very disappointing experience mainly from the owner(Michael).
fully paid the bond and the rent, and just before a day and half of my trip the owner called me and said I can't give you the motorhome as there is another group made the booking before you 2 weeks!!! so not only he held my money by being disorganised and overlapping two bookings!!!, my whole trip was at risk of finding anther motorhome and rent it in a short time or risk losing all of our bookings!!
But more disappointing is Camptoo and how they responded to my complaint. I have been charged with $672.62 in my bank account, they refunded only $659.84 and when I called them they said that I have been paid more!! and the owner was penalised for the cancellation!!! which is not the reason I called, rather I want my money fully refunded that's all. if the owner was penalised why Camptoo didn't pay me the difference in the payment!!!

I do not recommend this Company to Hire out your RV.
Reason being they gave out my phone no, address even before the Rental had finalised the rental agreement. Then not really apologizing or compassion for the blunder and the renter on my door step, we finally settled. Then to top it off they took 12 days to deposit the rental amount into my account but they paid the deposit back to the renter immediately with out taking out the extra kilometer expense for me.
Their communication is shocking and it wasn't until I told them that I had filed a complaint to Consumer Affairs that I received my payment
