Went to seamstress after a long break between and really great to see that the service and quality is still very high. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I was asked about my dietary requirements and being vegetarian, I told them I was and asked that they decide the best dishes to present rather than me choosing. The brussel sprouts and roti with peanut sauce for the entree, the rocket salad and the tofu red curry for mains were amazing. Great wine selection as well as signature cocktails from the bar upstairs. Great night out!

Head straight up the stairs to the top floor and youll find seamstress. The design of this bar is really cool and when I take friends they always say wow. We always end up trying a cocktail, but if they are busy it can take a little while. You can also buy food to nibble on as you go and there are some very tasty dishes to choose from.

We had a mixed experience here at Seamstress after having gone here for a birthday last year. The vibe upstairs is pretty cool, decked out in a really funky relaxed way. Unfortunately we then learnt we had been allocated space downstairs in the basement level, and whilst it was nice down here, it was not the same feel as upstairs. It was more bar-like and less lounge-like. On top of that the music was so ridiculously loud we literally could not hear each other speak. It was to the point of our ears hurting. Ive grown up going to clubs and concerts and none of them were as loud as this place. It was a shame because the staff were all really friendly, and the drinks nice, and the vibe upstairs good.
So I do recommend it, just avoid the basement level perhaps!
