TFA Legal reached out to me via BARK at a time when I was completely lost and had no idea where to turn in my family law matter. My initial contact with Adrian in late 2024 left a great impression, and I genuinely felt I’d found the right legal support.



Unfortunately, things began to go downhill shortly after. Throughout the course of my case, I was passed from solicitor to solicitor — Adrian, Isaac, Kayla, Indula, and Paul — due to either internal restructures or staff leaving the firm. I was never notified of these changes. Instead, I would only find out after emailing my solicitor and receiving an automatic bounce-back message. This left me with no clue who was handling my case or who to contact, which caused a huge amount of stress during an already difficult time.



On top of that, I faced several issues around the cost agreements I had signed. The firm repeatedly breached these agreements, either by exceeding the agreed caps or by charging an additional $65 per hour over the original quoted rate — despite these rates being clearly stated and agreed upon in writing.



Even when I did have a point of contact, the constant handballing between staff made communication feel fragmented and chaotic. The support was seriously lacking, and at times I questioned the purpose of certain roles — particularly Naomi’s — as I often felt more stressed after dealing with the firm, rather than supported. At times, “free counselling” would have felt more useful than the legal advice I received.



Another major concern was the lack of transparency around what to expect from court outcomes. Less than 24 hours before my conciliation conference, I was given one expectation — only to be told the morning of the hearing that things would likely go a completely different direction. This left me completely unprepared and feeling misled about my chances and options throughout the entire process.



After a long and frustrating six months, my matter has finally been resolved. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would never recommend TFA Legal for family law advice or representation. The experience left me feeling unsupported, financially taken advantage of, and extremely disappointed in how my case was handled from start to finish.

I had over 7 different solicitors working on my case the staff turn around is disappointing.Was charged over $20000 thousand .They did not ring and want to talk to you about your case it was always about paying your account . I have a horrible experience with them . My health suffered because of the stress by this firm and the owner. I would get messages on the weekends about my account
