My favourite bar in Melbourne.

The atmosphere on a friday night is awesome and it spills out into the near by lane. A BBQ is often running.

The place has the old style look of its original build and reminds me of an english pub more than any other. It is a pity the beer selection is limited but for atmosphere alone this is my first choice.

This place is a traditional old style pub. The outdoor area with some seats and standing area, nothing fancy, but the crowds seem to like it. There is a large front bar and also seating area downstairs. You can grab food downstairs and the menu is standard pub food. There is also a very good restaurant upstairs.

A no frills pub at first glance that just happens to be the oldest pub in the city. Downstairs is a relaxed affair where you can sit inside or out and enjoy a drink and a pub meal, with plenty of seating in both areas.

Upstairs is a surprisingly nice dining room with great food on offer and boutique beers on tap. They have a back dining room that's perfect for functions, although the bottles of grange in the large glass cabinets may prove detrimental to your wallet.
