One star is too much for this company! I have been trying to cancel our services for over a year. We rebranded and moved our business to a new location, and I had been trying to get our ad changed for THREE YEARS. Despite acknowledging receipt of my emails, nothing happened. They have acknowledged that the cancellation notice was received and a refund has been processed; however, I just received continual requests for my bank details, and the refund has never been received. I call but can't speak to LAURA G, who sends all the emails. I truly believe this company is SCAMMING Australian small businesses. You only have to read the reviews to see that I am not alone!

I contacted Yellow Pages this morning to register for a service that was clearly advertised on their website—in-column ads for $7 per month. However, after being transferred to a representative named Adam from Thryv, the experience quickly turned negative.



From the outset, Adam was rude, dismissive, and aggressively focused on upselling services I had no interest in. I made it clear that I was only calling to register for the advertised in-column ad, but he repeatedly tried to steer the conversation toward more expensive packages.



When I firmly asked if I could simply register for the $7/month in-column ad as advertised, Adam responded by saying he didn’t think my business was a “good fit” for a relationship with Thryv—simply because I declined his upsell attempts. His tone was condescending and unprofessional, and to top it off, he abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation.



This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from a company that positions itself as an expert in communication and advertising. It was not only frustrating but also deeply disappointing.



If Thryv values its reputation and customer relationships, I strongly urge them to retrain their staff on respectful communication, transparency, and honoring the services they promote. No customer should be treated this way for simply requesting what was advertised.

Have been trying to cancel yellow pages/thryv advertising for over 2 months now, my emails aren’t being replied to me and I’ve made numerous phone calls to their consultants but nothing has been done or followed up so we maybe have to take further with a legal process

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Thryv’s handling of reviews on Yellow Pages. Their own guidelines clearly state that if a user submits a new review, it will replace the original one. However, when I followed this process to update my review of a business that later engaged in intimidation and threats over my feedback, Thryv removed my update instead of replacing my original review.



When I reached out to them, they ignored their own written policy and justified removing my update by claiming it was repetitive—despite the fact that it contained crucial new information about the business's behavior. By refusing to update my review, they have effectively shielded a business from accountability and misled potential customers.



Thryv’s moderation policies are inconsistent, and their actions suggest a bias in favor of businesses rather than providing a fair platform for honest reviews. If you’re relying on Yellow Pages for accurate business feedback, be aware that your review might not be handled transparently.



Would not recommend using their services if you expect fair and unbiased moderation.

cannot believe how bad the product is and then the personal in the background all i know is when employing people that if they have yellow page or especially thryve on it i will move past it bottom of the barrel product

I created a free listing for an online business with YellowPages and now they have shared all my personal info as business info. Even though this is clearly an invasion of privacy and I have explained to them that they should only share my website and email address they are still refusing to remove them!

I sold my company and wanted to cancel all my advertising with them but as it was set up from an ex employee only they could do this ( but I can no longer contact them) so the advertising campaign can’t be stopped and the bills keep coming.

I’ll be taking this to fair trading.
