Excuses lack of knowledge

Asked for a quote he said he’d come after current job sun-Mon. He said he’d pop around tomorrow afternoon which was then confirmed 3 pm. He then told me he’s running late 4:30-5pm. Then it said he’s not finished wants to change the date to mon 6pm. After locking gate cooking tea and eating he knocked unbeknownst to me. He told me in person he’d be there mon at 8am and job complete in two days. 7:50 I sent message gates open to which he replied I’ll be there at 11 now as grass not ready. I asked if the pavers were first anyway you could have started. He gave some long excuse he didn’t show up till 1pm then took 30min lunch break at 3pm. The next time he called me out (they went past noise restrictions )3/4 was soiled grassed and pavered. Asking me where the other pavers were when I sent photos of job in quote clearly telling him remove 6 pavers and replace them. To which he said he couldn’t save until a few minutes later. At that point I also told him the pavers weren’t in the position as sent in picture and he didn’t change them. I also noticed that he hadn’t saturated soil prior to grass as stated on a website I looked at 5 days after the fact. I also didn’t see him use a roller to roll out the grass also on this website. After completing the job at around 7pm he wanted cash I asked him about how to water he said first week or two about twice a day then said or once a day. I asked him how long for he I said I don’t know just until it’s saturated. I also asked him how long not to walk on 2-3 weeks to which I said I’ll wait 3 and not to walk on tiles for 48 hrs I waited 72. 4 days later I sent him message saying my grass is starting to turn yellow. He replied saying that to watering it in morning and night I was already doing. To double water intake it tends to burn during winter and to let him know by tomorrow avo to come round. At 9 am I told him I started watering 20-30min to no avail. He replied I’ll pop by today to look and so at 6:30pm I asked if he was still coming. I got held at Job if you want I can come tomorrow morning and pull the pin on mornings as it’s peak weather lower your watering 10-15min. I said Thats what i was doing when it started going yellow 10min morn/night its only the past day increased it to 20-30 min 3times as some article said first 7-10 water 2-4 times a day that yellow means not enough water or air patches underneath. I should note that he said he normally uses some other type of grass. I also told him that a paver was loose then a few days after that a second paver was loose. The back door doesn’t open without hitting grass. I looked it up on buffalolawncare / laying new turf and watering schedule. Which says to use roller saturate soil prior water after laid should be super green through out. All buffalo grass needs to be kept moist during establishment phase including between soil grass and soil. This ensures greatest chance of survival. Buffalo needs more care than other grass types as it has no root system yet and thick grass spaced far apart causing evaporation for these reasons it needs more water than others during establishment. Currently Summer will require watering several times a day for first couple of weeks. The cooler the less and the hotter the more times a day. After first couple of weeks these can be reduced to once or twice a day. A couple of weeks after that we can do twice a week. The home owner must monitor the grass daily if any drying out occurs increase watering. He replied all steps were taken grass will go green after soil kicks in. I said what about loose pavers. He the said at 4pm I would have come this morning but you didn’t confirm anytime after xmas now was on Sunday. Thanks for asking me I thought Tuesday on what day then Wednesday 2nd pavings loose. He replied Wednesday what you doing dancing on them I’ll come past tomorrow morning what time suits you. I said 10am and obviously he never came when I me
