They replaced my old ducted heating system with a brand new one and then it stopped working and was still within the warranty period. They came out and wanted to charge me for repairs for what should have been a brand new system.

I asked for a invoice to understand what repairs were done and received a very vague description that didn't explain what work was done.

Until this day I still don't know what they wanted to charge me for, to what should have been a very new system still under warranty.

If I were to guess, I'd say that the brand new system wasn't brand new or there was reuse of components from the old system.
