Quoted me $66 to diagnose what’s wrong with my fridge. Dropped it off at his place (OMG, the mess should have rang alarm bells already!) and after explaining what was not working he mentioned that these fixes should be around $150-170 all up. Including the $66 which I paid upfront.

I thought that was very reasonable and told him to go ahead and call me once he figured out what was wrong.

Didn’t call for about a week and a half and only after calling and texting him several times he said there’s a small leak in the system but he doesn’t know where. He suggested to fill up the fridge with coolant and wanted to charge me $350-400 for it. No fix, just refill and wait for it too slowly die again...

I said I didn’t want to do that so went back to his place to pick up the fridge, but he wouldn’t let me take back the fridge unless I paid another $15! Couldn’t even tell me where that mysterious leak was but charged more money.

Asked for an invoice for those $15 but he refused that too.

Came to service washing machine but still didn't work after the tech had left. Called and left a message, no response, after more calls the tech eventually came around, fixed the problem, apologised twice and was a real gem about the job, glad to have his expertise in the end.;

Came to look at my fridge. He replaced a part in the freezer section (freezer was working ok, just the fridge part) he said the freezer part was faulty and causing the problem. 24 hours later fridge not cold. I rang and he was away for the weekend. He cam on Monday. ( I had to take the morning off work) Replaced a part in the fridge that was frozen. Said he should have looked at that the other day. 24 hours later still not cold. Told me to turn the dial up in the freezer. All my stuff froze. I kept calling and texting him and he either didn't reply or told me to wait a while. He asked me to send a photo of the part in the fridge. I did twice 2 weeks apart. Still no part still no fridge and he doesn't answer my texts or calls. Over 6 weeks now.
