Stay away from Stunning Homes

✨STUNNING HOMES WILL LEAVE YOU STUNNED✨

(But not in the way you’d hope)

If you think spending over a million dollars on a new build guarantees quality, professionalism, or even basic functionality, allow us to introduce you to Stunning Homes, where expectations and quality go to die.

From the beginning, it became clear that “stunning” is more of a marketing concept than a building standard.

Basic functionality was apparently optional:

• Doors that could not be closed, requiring replaning after settlement.

• Cupboard doors that could not be opened.

• A front door that began splitting, which was initially “repaired” by nailing the cracks shut — creating additional splits. That first fix then took months to be fixed properly.

• Lights were hardwired on, and therefore could not be turned off for weeks as it took this long to have someone sent out to fix it.

Outside, things escalated quickly:

• A water tank that took nearly six months to be installed and made operational, only to be installed incorrectly and cause a major leak in our yard.

The leak required two separate visits and almost a week of the water leak for it to be fixed.

• During the initial pump installation, our entire backyard was torn apart and left in disarray for weeks.

• Once the turf was removed, it revealed multiple holes beneath the turf and in the foundation by the slab.

The most alarming issue:

A 9-foot deep hole and void space under the slab of our home.

We were advised this was caused by the water leak — despite holes having already been “repaired” BEFORE the leak ever occurred, as the holes were first discovered when our yard was ripped to pieces during the tank install. The water tank is also several feet away from the 9ft deep hole. Gaslighting much?

We requested a structural investigation, which we believe is more than reasonable given the circumstances. Instead, our concerns were dismissed and ignored entirely.

Rather than addressing the issue properly, landscapers were sent to fill the holes with dirt. Even they advised us more than once that this was a serious structural concern that needed to be handled by the builder.

At this point, it would be far more sensible, and cheaper for Stunning Homes to have a qualified professional assess the situation and confirm that it is structurally sound, rather than continuing to ignore legitimate concerns and pushing clients toward a potential legal dispute.

Communication has been consistently appalling:

• Tradespeople accessed the property without prior notice, including by entering over the fence

• Works were scheduled without any notification, which was particularly problematic as we work full time so we have been unable to allow access to the property

• Response times frequently ranged from several weeks to over a month

• Emails, text messages, and phone calls often went unanswered

Several of these issues were meant to be rectified prior to settlement. None were.

It took months of repeated follow. ups and chasing to get even partial progress.

Bonus red flag 🚩

As a woman, I have found communication to be particularly dismissive. My correspondence is regularly ignored, while my husband is contacted directly and separately from myself with the reply instead. Make of that what you will.

Final verdict✨

Stunning Homes delivers poor workmanship, zero accountability, dismissive communication, and genuine structural concerns, all wrapped up in a million dollar price tag.

Unprofessional

Don't pick this company, very unprofessional, promised to seal the gap in the garage on the mutual fence, but instead, it was cut in half and left hanging. It now bangs against the new fence when the weather is windy. I have raised this concern several times over past two months, but no respnonses.
