I had a Community Services that was paid for by Workskil it was for 3 months.

However a month in the teacher resigned so the course was put of until the training provider could find a new teacher.

I was informed last month that a new teacher had been found and that course would resume in October.

Whilst awaiting I asked Workskil if I could to do a 3 day Traffic Management course which Workskil agreed to and paid for

I passed the course and as I have to wait 9-10 weeks to get a slot with DOT to do my practical driving test I decided to cancel the Community Services Course as isnt until October and is also for 3 months and request to replace it with a 2 day fork lift training course as I have a Warehouse Cert 111 certificate.

The forklift training and licence would compliment my Warehouse 111 cert.

I went into the office today and asked to speak to my consultant and was told he was no longer their and so I was passed up to the assistant manager.

Assistant Manager came out to the reception desk and I asked if I could cancel the Community Services Course and change it for a 2 day fork lift course as it would compliment my warehouse certificate.

She went out the back and came back and told me she had cancelled the course and got Workskil a refund.

I was told that because I had passed the Traffic Control Management Course she had cancelled the Community Based Services Course and that no I could not instead of doing the Community Services course could not instead do the 2 day day fork lift course simply because I had passed the Traffic Control Course,

She done all this without discussion and in the waiting room without even taking me into what they call the consultation area.

She seemed very very beligerent and was supposed to be the assistant manager!!

The community services course was already paid for all I was requesting was that it be cancelled and exchanged for a 2 day fork lift training course!!

But because I passed the 3 day traffic control she decided to cancel the community services course with nil discussion and would not even entertain my request to instead do the 2 day fork lift course.

I was lead to believe that job network providers was supposed to be about upskilling Job Seekers.

I have never ever been sent for a job interview by this Job Network provider ( Workskil Morley) all they do is ask for me to go to their office every 3 weeks '' for an appointment'' the appointment never amounts to anything at all other than a 10 min chit chat about nothing other than so how are things....

They do nothing other than telling you to go home and look up the website SEEK and to bring a piece of paper in once a month listing 20 jobs that you have applied for!

If you are 100% genuinely seeking work this is NOT the Job Network Provider that you want!

She cancelled a course and would not utilise any of the refund to enroll me in a 2 day fork lift course simply because I passed and became certified as a Traffic Controller which is of no use to me for at least 8-12 weeks because DOT has no avail slots for PDA (Practical driving assessment)

I think Job Network Providers are a sham and that the Govt should never have privatised Job Network Providers!

The Govt should be the one running such schemes NOT private companies and look how many of them their are....!!

It must not be profitable ay.....??

I mean they are all just small corner shops selling what exactly..?

They are not huge massive companies are they....???

Job Network Providers are just battlers none of them are making money of people that are not working.

Must be tough life being a Job Network Provider owner!!

Their is a reason why the consultants are always changing at Workskil Morley!!
