I have a good lock on my sliding door, do I need additional security?

A good secure lock is important. Wood in the track can help, but it is always far more secure if you have a patio bolt fitted on the back edge of your door. Often it can be keyed alike to your existing lock. Patio bolts are your best defence against a burglar where sliding doors are concerned.
