wouldnt go back again clearly the staff dont know how to look after animals properly

I love this shop I get all my pet needs from here they have great value and great prices! And the family that own it are so kind and lovely I am always able to call the shop for advice.

Well I love this shop I have got all my puppy's from there they have the cutest puppys and kittens I buy all my pets from there. My bunnys,my dogs, my fish and my guinea pigs love this shop

Well, what can I say, I have been buying my turtles there for a long time, always babies, this one particular time I went into the store to and saw an adult turtle, kept in a larger tank, No UV light, hardly any water and no filtration, I felt sorry for the turtle so i purchased it and gave it a good home with all the correct items required for a turtle.
Turtles need UV light to live or they become sick.
This turtle had lived in darkness and only about 6 inches of water for 8 months.

I was told by the staff that it was a boy.
I got him home and realized that he was in very poor condition and I took him to a reptile vet.
It turns out SHE was approximately 2 years old and had not seen any light in over 12 months, there were 5 layers of her shell that needed to shed and having no light did not allow this to happen. Apon further inspection it turned out that she had extremely bad shell rot and not been treated correctly.
This poor turtles skin was yellow also due to lack of light in the tank not to mention the bite marks in her head from being enclosed with a larger more aggressive breed of broadshell
I have had her now for 6 weeks and I have had her at the vet 4 times and the treatment for her shell rot is not working.
I am totally disgusted with the pet shop and they should not be allowed to keep reptiles. AS they clearly have no clue on how to maintain them and give them the required heat and lighting to keep them healthy.
I have been dry docking her now on and off for 4 weeks and today I was told that it is that bad she needs to be put down.
So I again am totally unhappy with this situation. the fact that I purchased a turtle for $120 I have spent $1500 in the last month on vet bills due to the pet store neglecting her and NOW WE HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE.
LESSON HERE- BUY YOUR REPTILES FROM A PROPER REPTILE BREEDER AS THIS PET SHOP HAS NO CLUE AT ALL ABOUT KEEPING REPTILES..
I will not return here EVER!
