After accepting a quote for work, he asked for a deposit "for materials", which I thought would be OK, given he'd done a quick job at my place and I though I could trust his work ethic.



I have had to chase this roofer constantly, he didn't show up to days he'd scheduled to be at my place - days I'd had to take off work in order to be home - only to give excuses about why he wasn't able to come and do the work. He never replies to emails or phone calls, I can only assume I'm blocked because I dared to ask for my deposit to be refunded. And just got angry when asked about the latest no-show.



Poor communication, poor business practice. Very untrustworthy. An unrefunded deposit for work not done, is straight up theft.

I HAVE PAID A DEPOSIT, HAD SEVERAL DATE CHANGES TO ATTEND THE ROOFING WORK QUOTED AND BEEN LET DOWN REPEATEDLY. NOW I ANM BATTLING TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. I AM OWED $200.00 DEPOSIT BACK & TO DATE HAVE HAD NO LUCK GETTING IT. THE GOOGLE ABN & PHONE NUMBER HAVE CHANGED SO I HAD TO CHASE FOR TEH NEW PHONE NUMBER & THE ABN IS NOW IN A PRIVATE NAME. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS? I APOLOGISE FOR HAVING TO POST THIS BUT I AM AT MY WITS END WITH IT.
