      Not Happy Bernie

      I rang Bernie’s office on the morning that finance was due on a contract that I was Vendor for requesting information as to whether the purchaser had requested a finance extension. I was promised a call back. At 4.40pm no call back and no addendum to my contract leaving me in the dark. So I rang back; I asked that Bernie give me a call, which he did at 17:15 after the finance clause had expired. I explained that I wasn’t happy that given he was representing me I had no protection in place and nothing had been explained to me. I found Bernie to be rude and protective of his staff (which I completely understand). At 3:33pm on the following day (Saturday) I get a text from Bernie which said he was no longer wanting to represent me as a client in the selling of my property; and that he’d already notified my realestate agent that he wasn’t going to represent me - all because of was critical of not getting reasonable customer service. Please note that this is two weeks before our property is meant to settle. Bernie’s text further said “good luck” with your settlement. So, in my experience it would have been easier to have used another agency. I am left with no conveyancer 2 weeks before settlement; in my opinion, this is not an agency I would recommend if you need clear communication and reliable service. If there was a lower ranking available they’d be getting it. I know many people read reviews, specifically negative ones and a lot of people whinge; but this is a genuine issue I had and the conveyancer decided to just walk away because things got a bit hard. Please go somewhere else.
