I am writing this review as a serious warning to others, especially parents, who trust this business with their family's safety. My experience, both personally and through my daughter, shows a disturbing pattern of negligence and dishonest overcharging.



1. The Dangerous Negligence (My Daughter's Car):



My daughter has been a loyal customer for nearly 4 years. Last week, she brought her car in for repairs (power steering leak and front suspension) before a 2,000+ km drive to move interstate to Victoria.



She explicitly told the staff about her long, solo trip and asked them to ensure the car was safe and sound for the drive. This business had also performed the car's previous regular service.



This morning, after driving 1,000km to Sydney, the front of her car began making horrific crunching noises. A photo of the wheel clearly shows the brake pads have worn down to bare metal, which has now destroyed the discs.



She is now stranded, facing a major, expensive repair that should have been a simple, cheap pad replacement if it had been caught.



This is a critical, basic safety check. Given they were just working on the front suspension (where the wheels are off) and were explicitly told about a 2,000km trip, missing this is an act of pure negligence.



When I visited the shop today with the evidence, the manager's response was, "We don't have time to do safety checks every time." He then confirmed they take "no responsibility whatsoever" for this dangerous failure.



2. The Dishonest Upselling (My Own Car):



As a retired mechanic, I was already suspicious of their practices from a previous visit with my own car. I took it for a basic service, new plugs, and a simple transmission fluid change.



They returned with a quote for $1,955.00.



This included:



$495 for a transmission service. The parts (gasket and fluid) cost about $75 trade. This is an astronomical markup.



$495 for new rear brake pads and discs. I had personally inspected the rear brakes just days before when putting new wheels on. The pads had over 50% life remaining, and the discs were in perfect condition.



They were trying to steal nearly $500 from me for work that was absolutely not needed.



Conclusion:



This business has shown they are not to be trusted. They will try to scare you into expensive, unnecessary repairs while simultaneously neglecting the most basic, critical safety checks on a loyal customer's car, even when she told them she was about to drive across the country.



They put my daughter's safety at risk through their negligence and then took zero responsibility. Avoid this place at all costs.

Second time using, absolutely fantasy people and service.
