Rescue Plumbing

I had a bit of a plumbing disaster recently and called up Rescue Plumbing for help. My toilet was backing up with sewer water, and there was no other access point in sight. Paul, the plumber who showed up, was fantastic.



Even though he was on the shorter side, he clearly knew his stuff. He started by trying to plunge the toilet, and when that didn’t work, he brought out some serious sewer-clearing equipment. Within an hour, he had cleared the blockage, reinstalled the toilet, and everything was back to normal.



Paul was super efficient and got the job done quickly. If you ever find yourself in a plumbing jam, Rescue Plumbing—and Paul in particular—are the ones to call. They really saved the day!

To unblock drain turned out to be nightmare as they used old and weak machinery. Instead of 30 min it took more than 1 hr, so I think I paid $100 too much.

Be aware of the hours they record and charge you, as the plumber recorded hours dishonestly and more than what he worked for. Parts costs are overly expensive, we asked for receipt for the parts, Andrew the owner declined and threatened us that he "will take legal proceedings". Dishwasher was not installed correctly and been tipping over when loading dishes. Overall, we spent more than 50% more than other plumber's quote, and the work was not done nicely, not a positive experience at all!

We've all heard horror stories about plumbers overcharging.......Well, it's true....in my case at least.
Water heater wasn't working, so contacted Rescue for call out fee of $89. Found that the thermostat need replacing.
Was charged an hour waiting time while he went to buy damaged part. All in, I was charged call out fee plus 2 hours for labour ($100 per hr) for hardly an hour's work! This came to $289 excl.GST.
Was also overcharged for the spares....paid $180 for a $140 part. But this was small in comparison to the labour charges.
Overall I paid $500+ for a job that should not have cost more than $380. Disappointing! Do yourself a favour & look elsewhere.

Rescue Plumbing completed a job for me at short notice. It was an emergency and they attended to the job promptly and professionally. I'd recommend their services to anyone! They were great!

I wouldn't even bother. Called for an emergency after hours service for my hot water only to be spoken to rudely and questioned like a child! If you advertise 24/7 then it shouldn't be a problem what time or day I'm calling.Terrible customer service and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!
