RAC Myaree Terrible Service - Stay Away

Took my new car to RAC Myaree for a 60k log book service which had no problems with it prior to service, following the service the car would not start properly and had starting issues. I returned the car to RAC twice and they did not rectify the issue. On the last occasion I was spoken to rudely by RAC and they were not helpful at all. Very bad service and would not recommend as your car will be returned in worse condition. Backyard bush mechanics!

TERRIBLE service had my car for a week,no communication from them i was left in limbo for 2 days and only manage to get in touch with them on a Monday.

I had to hire a car for a week as i just started a new job and didnt transport for work.

The car was dropped of for a diagnostic on a Thursday and they couldn't get the car started, so instead of calling and telling me i had to wait till Monday when i called them,so paid the money to have the coil fixed,then they still didn't know what was wrong so had to pay an external mechanic to look at it and found out it was a fuel pump,then something else was wrong with it and paid to have that fixed.

So my car was in there hands for 8 days and guess what STILL runs like S*** the job was not finished clamps were loose,they left packing foam in the engine pay to support a fuel line and regulator instead of using the clamps.

Lodge a complaint with member services guess what NO REPLY.

Stupid me this is not the first time ive had trouble with them other examples of there incompetence include.

* Replacing the alternator and not replacing the worn belt guess what belts snaps and leaves me stranded.

* Do a coolant flush yet don't see coolant leaking from the thermostat guess what had to have the thermostat replaced and the coolant flushed AGAIN.

I took my car in to the Myaree Service Centre on Monday 2 February for a diagnostic and on the Saturday 7 February your mechanics said it was all fixed, I paid my $400 and drove off.

On Wednesday 11 February my car's temperature was very high and it was still leaking fluid, I called the Myaree Service Centre and they said they couldn't look at it until Saturday 14 February. This was unacceptable from the beginning. My car should've been a priority as it was their mechanics that didn't do their job which I had already paid for.

I took it back to the service centre on Saturday where the mechanic said I would get a call that day with what was wrong with it.

I didn't get a call and had to call them multiple times on different numbers over a few days. Once I finally got through to someone they answered with only their name. I had to ask where they were from, its just common phone etiquette to say where you are from. This person (I dont recall their name, it was a male) was very rude after I explained that it is unacceptable to not leaving a message and that I had to call multiple times (yes I was stern but not rude).

He then told me that to fix my car was going to cost another $1,100 with absolutely no reference to having my car previously and apologies for not calling me back sooner.
This is again unacceptable to not even acknowledge their mistakes.

If their mechanics had of done the proper test/s both my time and money and your own would not have been wasted. To clarify by proper I mean check that everything is working before handing over the keys and check that all the problems identified are still not occurring.

I feel extremely ripped off and taken advantage of by thier services. Their customer service is unacceptable on so many levels I cannot believe it.

Do not take your car to get serviced to RAC Myaree! It's been a terrible experience!
