What is a Certificate of Compliance?

A Certificate of Compliance (COC) is a government document which will be signed by Scott on completion of electrical work. It states that the work has been completed in compliance with the standards set out in the Electricity Act 1996 and therefore meets all safety requirements. The Certificate is issued to the customer for their records.

What is an RCD (commonly known as a safety switch) and how does it work?

An RCD is a safety device that monitors electrical current flowing within a circuit from the meter box or distribution board. It works on the principle that the electricity current flowing in must be equal to the current flowing out of the circuit. If the RCD detects an imbalance, indicating a leakage to earth, e.g. current flows through someone's body to earth, the RCD immediately cuts the electricity supply to prevent electrocution.

Advertises as reliable 🤣

Had this guy wiring our house extension did half the job got paid and just stuffed us around for weeks to try and get him to finish it. It seems every new job obviously takes priority over unfinished work. Ended up having to hire another electrician to get it finished. Mr. reliable.
