What is the life expectancy of my system?
When asked it is a bit hard to give an exact period. It would be estimated that you should get at least 8 years out of a system, but it depends on many factors quality of the unit, whether the unit has been properly maintained, whether it was installed properly, how much the unit has been used, as well as whether the unit was sized correctly.
How often should I have my unit serviced?
I recommend having your heat pump serviced 12 months after installation then every 2 years thereafter, and especially have it serviced just before it runs out of warranty so that if there are any issues they can be rectified at no or minimal cost.

Jason cleaned mine and my mums heat pump. Very friendly, on time and did a thorough clean on the unit inside and outside. Very reasonably priced will definitely use again

Gave us a detailed quote which was best of three. Gave us a date and arrived at 8.00am on that date with his sparky and was gone at about 11.00am. Supplied his own tarp for indoors, cleaned up on completion and left the place immaculate both inside and outside. Fully recommend to anyone considering a heat pump installation.
