I recently had the blades replaced at Northmead Mowers. I was really annoyed when I go home and realized that I was not able to use the grass catcher because Northmead Mowers failed to replace the 2 missing screws on one side to secure the flap so that it would be possible to secure the grass catcher. I was forced to tie the flap as best I could to be able to use it; they also failed to replace 2 larger screws missing on top of the mower. This is basic and good customer service and very obvious to see.
While I was using the mower I notice the front of the mower kept lifting like it was floating on a pocket of air?
Can you imagine my surprise when I turned my mower on its side to see why this was happening? As you can see clearly the bar that held the wheels in place are cut. Why would anyone do that?
I suggest before you take your mower for repairs that you take lost of photos for your own reference.
While I was at Northmead Mowers my mower was turned on its side at least 3 times to look at the old blades so Im pretty sure one of us would have noticed 4 cuts on the bar.
I wasnt going to do anything about this, just never do business with them again but I find it really upsetting every time I have to wire up the wheels so that I can use the lawn mower and worst of all there is nothing wrong with the motor, it still works great.
I wish could post some photos so you can see.
