Opal Cabs and Maxi Van

Just got an opal cab from international airport to CKS motel. Charged $39 for a 3km trip. Told at hotel reception at most $20. Great way to start a trip to be ripped off in your own country

Magically charged $20 more than the normal rate I have had over dozens of trips from the airport. Couldn't explain it or give a breakdown. Was too tired to argue but will be lodging a complaint. Unfortunately you don't get much choice when taking a taxi from the airport.

$75 for 10min of driving.

Got the taxi from Sydney airport. Checked Uber first and fare was $40. Decided to get a local taxi as a few in the rank. Trip took about 25 mins…they charged $95. Meet wasnt even on then turned on suddenly and showing $95! Said can i get a printed breakdown..said dont so that. Said can i speak to office as hotel reception then told me $50 max. In the end, charges me $80. Painful…teaches me to just always use uber

From Circular Key to Virgin Airlines Sydney domestic we were charged $152 we couldn’t see the meter athe 6 of us were in the back. We refused to pay it as the opposite trip was $102 on a busy Sydney market day. The driver then said pay what ever you like as it is Christmas. We paid $105 he then had a hide to ask for a tip

waited till we got in taxi to tell us 20 per person total of $120 from whitebay cruise terminal to central what a joke not happy im from the country and they took us for a ride alright

Charged $98 for $35 ride. Picked up from taxi rank at airport. Was on the meter but I think he set it up.

This guy is the reason people prefer ride share. I recieved a $40 cab voucher from Qantas due to a delayed flight. He took myself and my 2 year old from international to domestic airport hotel. I questioned the direction of travel twice, he said road works but on one occasion I could see the road to our hotel. The charge was $65, but it was supposed to be $25. Then he refused to accept my cab charge voucher. Upon exiting the cab, he was yelling at me, my two year old was scared and ran away. Thankfully the pullman hotel staff came to my rescue and helped us. Worst cab ride ever!

Absoloute rubbish. He charged $130 from the airport to Oatley…only a 25 minute drive….double the usual rate. The van didn’t have any seat belts that worked properly. This taxi service is not a real taxi service. You can’t even call the number that is provided online.

Not only was he arguing and arrogant the driver charged me $85 for a $40 cab ride that I have travelled many times before and a 5% surcharge for the use of my card. Absolutely out of control. We where picked up at the airport and it was the next vehicle in line. I had no other option.
