Maxim's Wine Bar & Bistro

WARNING... DO NOT HAVE YOUR FUNCTION at MAXIM WINE BAR! My sister had her 21st recently and speaking from experience, do not have your function here. We asked the owner a number of times to turn the lights down and turn the music up to create a better atmosphere, but were rudely told this is his bar and he is the boss and he makes the decisions. We paid over $600 for the catering, yet I saw no more than 4 plates of food come out of the kitchen. When asked about it, the owner stated that he did not make any money on the catering and that was how much it cost. My sister was abuse and yelled at by him on the dance floor and 12.30am as he numbers had gone under 80 people and that he wasn't making any money behind the bar. He stated he made only $820 for the whole night, yet I managed to spend over $200 alone and we had over 60 people there for most of the night. We we're kicked out at 12.30 due to having less than 80 people, even though we had the facility booked until 2am. He is money hungry, rude, arrogant and extremely unhelpful with the whole process.
