He was arrogant and unfriendly, but I was visiting from rural interstate and needed to buy a young male budgie to return with me. He insisted the bird was male. And I purchased it with all the add ons, cage, toys, food etc. When he grabbed the bird and before I knew it he chopped the poor little bird’s flight feathers without asking me. I left with a bad taste and rather upset. The bird turned out to be a FEMALE. Very poor service.

I have spent the past few months looking for a Budgie. Picking the right bird is tough until I went down to Nunawading Birds and spoke with John. Johns birds are amazing and today i finally got my perfect bird. The advice and support i received in making my decision was great. If your in the market for a bird Nunawading Birds is the place to go!

This bird dealer is a place that is one of a kind as it was so hard for me to find a good reputable place to buy my cockatiel. Nunawadding Birds sold me a beautiful cockatiel which I have only had for 2 days after losing my cockatiel of 19years and 5 months.
I was unsure which bird was right for me and Michael allowed me to hold several birds of my choice before being certain. He let me hug the one I felt bonded with for over an hour while chatting with me and my family. He sells only the best birds which is why I chose to buy off him.
Bird diseases are becoming a problem and are hard to examine which I could see this shop is defenatley strict on.
Seeing his shop and aviary conditions I was impressed and thankful someone with the heart for birds is supplying and treating them with the correct love and attention before being sold to only a good home.

By the way, its spelt "Galah"... So quick to judge a professional licenced business and act like a 'know it all' when you cant even spell species name of the bird. In other words you were rejected because you were not capable enough of being the Galahs forever home... So glad it went to a loving home rather than a negative person like you!

The best place to purchase healthy high quality birds and bird supplies! Mick is a very knowledagble owner and cares so much about every animal at Nunawading Birds & Pets! The store is very clean and its evident food and water is changed daily. Birds are always healthy and very happy. I have been going here for years and have purchased a wide range of different species & all birds are healthy and still with me today. Mick is passionate towards the wellbeing of his birds & makes sure each hand reared bird goes to its perfect forever home. Highly recommend.

Nunawading Birds & Pets are amazing!!!! The team are always ready to help and no question is too big or small. I wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase a bird or any of my bird feed. The shop is always full of happy birds and the love and care shown to them by the team makes you appreciate there are people like this in the business!! I have never experienced such bad costumer service. Visited this shop with my partner and was looking at purchasing a Gelah I was told so many lies about the birds known age and in the end the bird was sold after I spent money on brand new cage suposodily to its original owners after more than a week of being at the store I was then told that the bird price has gone up to $500 from $375 wat kind of business is this man running I would recommend that you think twice before dealing with these scammers you shouldn't play with costumes feeling it's very upsetting!
