Ocean Grove Sewing Centre

Really lovely shop, always ready to help and give advice, even sewing tips and tricks. Has got a great selection of buttons and does excellent and very reasonable alterations. Ive been going here for years and don't really do reviews but thought the review below misrepresented this shop so wanted to change this

I went looking for yarns and buttons, after having no luck at Lincraft. The yarn range at Ocean Grove is surprisingly large for such a small shop, and has a great variety of good quality brands. I’ll definitely go back. Oh, and the sales assistant (owner?) was friendly and helpful.

Note: When a customer asks for help... it's usually because they can't find what they are looking for. That's why they are asking for help.

I went into the Ocean Grove Sewing Centre today to try and find some material for my daughter's school dress up. I had a look - couldn't see anything close to what I needed, so asked the staff member. All she could be bothered to do, was to point over to the section and tell me "whatever we have it's there". Clearly she could not be bothered helping me.

It's called customer service - and in winter in Ocean Grove - when business slows down you would think most of the businesses would be at the top of their game in helping customers who want to shop local.

Did I spend my money there? No. Will I again. No. Will I now share this story with loads of friends and family online? Yes.
