Members, are preferred at this club, so I would advise any tourists and visitors to stay far away. Getting a drink took twice as long as staff served known members and locals before even approaching us.
We took the bus in. We were informed you just wait out the front for it when it was time to go. We finished dinner my two girls, 7 and 2.5, were done for the night. My oldest has autism, she was very spacey, needed to get to bed. We walked out just as the bus was getting filled up so figured we would wait out the front for it to come back. My parents went back inside to have one more drink. We stayed outside with my children.
A 'lady' came out and asked if we were waiting for the bus, we replied yes. She asked us where we were going, we replied we were going to Brunswick Heads Caravan Park. To which she stated that would be fine, we could go with them and the bus driver could drop them off first before taking us to our destination.
With that she walked back inside. She was very much by herself and we were spun out at being talked to so very rudely. At this point we had already been waiting about 10 minutes for the bus.
The rest of our party came outside with us and they were immediately attacked by her, she stated she was here first. We said no we actually were and she said something along the lines of "when the bus driver sees me he will take us first."
As soon as he pulled up she called the bus driver by name and he immediately sided with her. Obviously, she is a local, a member and they take priority.
The bus driver explained that he had been to Brunswick THREE times that night and he would take her first and come back and get us. I don't really care if he had been to Brunswick Heads ten times that night, that is not how it works.
In the end she got her way, she got to go home and once again it was displayed to us that visitors to this club are NOT welcome. In total we were waiting over 45 minutes and two bus trips before we were able to get home!

Ocean Shores is a long, challenging private course on land that is hilly. Visitors are welcome. Designed by Bruce Devlin this is a very enjoyable course with lovely white bunkers and water in play on a number of holes. The thick fairway turf means you get very little run so the course plays very long. It has palm trees on some holes giving it a feel like you are in Florida. Some of the holes have water keep an eye out for the water hazard pegs. Some steep uphill walks on some holes can be tiring. After a lot of rain it stays wet because it has few holes that are like valleys and some swampy parts so can get waterlogged.
