Dowling Management Services

Anyone seeking the services of a strata manager would be well advised to avoid Dowling Management Services.



In over 25 years of property investing, I have yet to witness anywhere near the degree of incompetence shown by this business.



Among the issues encountered were accountancy errors, mishandled funds and a failure to perform even the most fundamental duties required of a strata manager.



The overall degree of mismanagement shown was staggering.



We also have sneaking suspicions that some of the funds may have been

misappropriated.



Avoid at all costs.

I've dealt with these horrible people for more than 15 years and since 'having to pay' them for doing nothing I have found them to be the worst people in business.. not only do they demand payment, they also ripped out my clothes line out the back of my unit without my knowledge and left it half out resting on the other side of the line it's been over a year and still have not replaced it! Therefore my tenants at the time could now their lawn. Looking around the unit common yards nothing has been done, so why do we have to pay money?

I have dealt with DMS for around 15 years.

In that time I have found them to be extremely rude and unprofessional, to the point that I was almost physically sick and would have anxiety attacks before making a phone call to them to request repairs on my unit.

I have had repairs not completed, I have had emails and phone calls not returned, I have been hung up on many times and have been told that they would not help me fix any issues that were to do with Strata and I had to pay and complete the repairs myself.

Over the last 2 months I have had my unit under contract to sell. A building report came up with some issues that were Strata – SDM did nothing to help me, refused to discuss the issues, hung up on me, refused to take my call and never returned any messages I left. They almost cost me the sale of my unit because of their behavior

It seems SDM lack the ability to understand that we are paying them to do a job. They are a horrible business to deal with and I will never again buy a Unit that is run under Dowling Management Services.

I did not want to give Dowling Management Services even one star but had to in order to post a review. I have never come across such unprofessionalism - this company is supposed to be working for the Strata Owners but a close relative, selling her unit, found Dowling Management to be very uncoopertive and unhelpful. In fact she could not get replies to emails and also had the phone hung up on her three times when trying to make contact with the company. In face if I could put a minus star rating I would have

Rude receptionist who refused to forward a copy of Neighbourhood Association By-Laws so that I could better understand my responsibilities as a tennant. Refused to listen to any questions I had. Very dismissive, terminated the phone call without an explanation. Wondering if this is actually a legitimate business.

I have a unit that unfortunately is under DMS, I find it very frustrating to deal with her, she is very unprofessional has no manners and find her very dishonest, over the few years I have gain nothing but stress after stress. I am now hoping that she comes to her senses and understand as a home owner we don't have to put up with her lies and uncooperative nature. She claim that she has no FAX or EMAIL address to communicate with her or even through SMS i find it very odd and some how I doubt her integrity. One day she is nice and friendly with you next day she is nothing but a disrespectful person.
I am going to get some legal action soon against her.
