If I could give them a 0 I would. I lived in a property for 4 years with a terrible water leak that eroded the wall adjoining the bathroom, this was reported to the real estate agent with no action for over a year. There was no drain in the bathroom and a hole had been drilled from just outside the shower into the shower drain area. The hole caused water to pool under the tiles and soak up the walls. This real estate agent on a regular basis placed imports from a local professional sporting team next door who constantly threw mid week parties and failed to take any action. My lease was due to expire in less than two weeks and I contacted the agent to ask if this would be extended and was advised a week later that someone in the landlords family was ill and they were awaiting instruction, if they did not hear back I was advised the lease would continue on a periodic basis. You can imagine my surprise when two weeks later at 6pm on a Friday I received an email that the property would be listed for sale and that I would need to put away any personal items for a photographer and that the listing agent would be in touch. I received no further communication after sending a complaint and no offer to be compensated for the inconvenience, I received no communication from the listing agent and a sign was placed out the front with the property being auctioned. I finally decided to move out of this unit over a month ago and they have failed to return my bond. They are now trying to deduct money from the bond for additional cleaning for items such as mold between tiles even though the fan was broken in the bathroom for a long period of time. They are also trying to take money as they believe items such as a toaster and microwave were "greasy" when these extremely old items could be purchased for $10 and $40 at Kmart respectively.
