Country Colonial Floors Sanding & Polishing

Shane did all the floors in my place working around a brand new polyurethane kitchen. Fabulous job. Very happy. No dust. Great finish.

Finish and Bona product are great, but care wasn't taken with sanding of the floors which to me is the most important factor and what you are mostly paying for.

Shane did mostly a good job with all the areas where the drum sander was used, but when it came to the edges it was below standard. I have a darker strip around the perimeter and also noticeable scalloping where the edger was used. In the areas where the drum sander didn't fit eg hall & around kitchen benches the edger was used to sand decent sized areas (1mx2m areas) . You look down at the floor and its wavy in any light conditions. Like I said, disappointing. I wish I had gone else where as now I am going to fork out more money to get areas redone by a different contractor.

Its not nice when people come around to your house, look at your floors and say "Gosh what happened there".

End of the day I am sure Shane is capable of doing a good job, but for me it seemed like he rushed and just wanted to get out of there.
