I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the correspondence I've had over the past three weeks and the dealers dishonesty.
I enquired about the golf cabriolet. I was told by the dealer that they would have it checked by a mechanic before I took time off work to travel from Sydney to Adelaide. When speaking I mentioned that there was a possibility that I would drive this back home. A few days after this, I received a phone call that the car was mechanically sound and checked by an RAA approved mechanic.
On inspecting the car the driver seat was not fixed (which is illegal to sell), three of the four headlights did not work, electrics in the front were not all functioning, the hazard lights were not all working and there were concerning noises from the front wheel bearings and water pump.
Considering our honest interest in the car and how far we travelled the information and description of the car did not match. The trust had put in you for honest information and service was unsatisfactory and unprofessional.
