Railton Boarding Kennels & Cattery

I left my 4 pets here for 5 weeks as I went overseas with my family. I asked for photos of my pets to be sent to me weekly to give me and my family peace of mind due to the long duration of our trip, which I was assured was going to happen. In the end, I was only sent one set of photos, 2 weeks into the trip. When seeing the photos, I asked for one of my dogs to be fed more food because he was drastically losing weight, (a concern we had discussed during booking because he was an active rescue dog and needed extra care). I then received a phone call from the own who verbally abused both me and my mum over the phone, threatening to dump my dogs and cat out of her shelter. This made us anxious to return home and ruined our holiday. We picked up the animals early and found them without their toys and blankets (which we supplied). Our dogs left the kennel fearful, aggressive and resource guarding. It took almost 6 months for them to return to their normal and loving personalities. They are now afraid of brooms and hoses, which they weren't beforehand. In my opinion, this kennel is not suitable to take care of animals. Once monies were paid, all agreements made went out the window. I will never bring my pets here again.

Dogs underfed & after a month our playful pups were scared and antisocial. Only 2 blurry pics sent - no updates as promised. And when we commented on dog losing weight, owner called us overseas to threaten us & ask we pick up pets. Unprofessional. Not animal lovers.
