VW & Volvo Centre

Many Thanks to Mick for the great/personable service his workshop gave me and my partner. There was the servicing of my 2010 Golf, refurbing my engine in Februrary and then for a second time just this week, tending to an errored warning light flickering on my dash, and correcting it.
Theyve been very thorough and knowledgable in response to all my questions and happy to explain anything in more detail when asked. Ill be a customer with these guys, despite the travel, as I live a few suburbs out.

I have been taking my cars to the VW & Volvo Centre for servicing since they were new. I have never had anything but excellent service from them. They have the car serviced on time, go through all relevant points with you when you pick it up and explain everything in detail. Their service fees are very fair and a lot less than a dealership. I will continue to take my vehicles there for servicing.

My experience with this business has been very poor, the quality of the work was substandard, the condition the car was returned to me was a testament to how Mick runs his business, I was not kept in contact at all in regards to other cars taking priority over mine when I booked a week in advance. I asked for a clutch to be replaced, a fuel filter fitted and paid a generous amount extra to have the car inspected and a report on condition given.

Key points which did not happen or shouldnt have happened!

- The car was only started on the afternoon of the day I was suppose to pick it up yet I was not informed, car took a total of 4 days!
- The report I asked for stated only one engine mount would need replacing, they missed the Engine timing cover leak which is dripping on the floor, they missed a suspension bush completely missing in the rear, they missed a hole in the exhaust. The printed report which was a small sentence on my bill is not satisfactory at all.
- There is damage to the car, The solid top mount anodising is chipped.
- The pedal feel on the clutch is very different, im yet to determine why the pedal is now very soft and spongy.
-There is grease all over the air filter pipe and plastic engine covers which was very clean and tidy when the car went in.
-Grease on the wheel arches on the paint from dirty hands, again the car was in very clean condition before i handed it over.
- The steering and handling off the car is terrible, I now need to have a full readjustment done yet they said the test drive it was fantastic to drive.
-No mechanics seat cover or floor mat covers where used in the car, the interior was spotless and grass and gravel were all through the floor matts and similar on the seat.
Mick did not reset my interior clock, radio stations, the auto lights or auto wiper settings back to how they were.
