Overpriced and abusive

I’ve had the worst and most terrible experience with Troy. He overcharged me triple the price quoted. Sent 3 people to do a simple job, including an apprentice and trainee and charged for all 3 to be there. He was extremely rude on the phone and spoke to me in a very inappropriate manner.

Terrible customer relations. Awful trade.

I have worked with trades for years and have always tried to source local trades for local work.

The way this company spoke and dealt with the client was appalling. Over the phone this company was demeaning and abusive to the client leaving them crying. What absolute terrible service and sense of entitlement. I was livid.

I am so disappointed at how this company took advantage and manipulated the client, completely unprofessional, over priced and rude.

I hope these reviews get read as there are a few ones that speak the truth.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY

Troy and two other plumbers not only took 5 hours to install an oven and a rangehood but charged me for the apprentice which in his words "brought tools from the truck and held them for the plumber". They will overcharge you so do not use them.

Unpleasant experience

We had work done by this company several years ago. We don’t believe they sent out a fully qualified plumber, the person was very young and the work completed was unsatisfactory - they damaged the tiles, used the foam wrapping on our new chrome fixtures to wipe up silicone leaving the fittings (for a separate job) out and they were damaged, left garbage everywhere, there was silicone on every surface of the room that I had to peel off, the silicone that was in the right spot was very messy and worst of all the job was not finished properly so we had sewage leaking into our house. Then to really top it off we received the invoice for double what they quoted and they charged us for materials we provided. We also never received a compliance certificate, which is a legal requirement for works that cost over a certain amount including labour and materials, which this job came to.

When I called to discuss these issues with the owner - Troy - he refused to listen to my concerns, spoke over me, scoffed and began screaming at me calling me names and swearing at me. He didn’t offer to fix the work until I told him I wouldn’t be paying. At which point he changed his tune. But once I made it clear I was now uncomfortable with him or anyone who works for him coming back to the property he began his verbal tirade again calling me names and telling me my standards were too high. I simply didn’t want sewage in my house. He eventually told me to just pay what I thought the work was worth to which I said “then you won’t be getting paid because I am now in a worse position than before the work was done.”

He then came to our property, unannounced, and tried to act matey with my partner who told him if he wanted to be paid he had to mend things with me. We never heard from him again.

Now, 5-6 years later we come to find out he has been giving out our address including images of our house and our names to other people telling them not to work with us. I was happy to have just left the bad blood between us and kept it private but I can no longer do so with this new knowledge.

Tradies talk, but so do clients.

One visitm, problem solved!

Troy attended when he said he would, was bright and cheery, able to solve the problem of our leaking roof and had it fixed the same day. Very happy us.

Thank you Troy for helping my elderly mother in law out of a serious gas issue and keeping me informed as to what needed to be done. Extremely professional service with a kind and caring touch.
