Fantastic job, like a brand new roof

Such a wonderful experience with Michael, he was very well priced for the amazing job he did and many years of helpful experience he brought with him. He was so kind to explain each step of the process in such depth so we truly knew what he was providing. He helped in choosing colour that would age well and stay clean and only uses the best products, there is no cutting corners. We are so glad we decided on Michael to help us with such a large part of our first ever renovation, it really makes the house look like new. It has been three years since he painted it and we have no complaints with how it has held up, still as perfect as the day he did it. We are coming to the end of our renovation and really can’t imagine the house looking complete without the fantastic job he has done on our roof. We have recommended him to many of our friends who are also young first home buyers with no hesitation. You won’t find someone in the industry with better knowledge and genuine passion for his job after so many years. Great job Michael!

Fantastic Result.

Mick restored my roof around 10 years ago. The roof still looks fantastic, all of the pointing is still perfect and I could not be happier with the workmanship.

If you want a job that will last I highly recommend Sawtell Roofing.

Professional service. Great result.

If you want a professional, dedicated and reliable tradesman, Sawtell Roof Restoration & Repairs is the one. We found Michael to be friendly and extremely helpful from his initial visit to provide a quote through to completion of the job. He clearly explained what would be required and took the time to answer our questions. Michael recommended the best product to use for resealing and painting the tiled roof and went into detail to inform us of the best application method for resealing and painting once a tiled roof has been pressure cleaned. The quote outlined a clear scope of works with detailed costing. Michael went above and beyond to source replacement tiles for the broken and cracked tiles he found during his initial visit, and prior to commencing the pressure cleaning. The finished product needs to be seen to be believed. The restoration is thoroughly professional and has added thousands of dollars in value to our home. Numerous residents living in our street, and all of our friends have commented on how good the roof looks and what a dramatic change having the roof restored has done. This was not the first time we have used Sawtell Roof Restorations & Repairs, nor will it be the last. We have since engaged Michael to repaint all the fascial boards and eaves of the home prior to having new guttering installed. On all occasions we have found Michael to be friendly and easy to get along with. He always cleans up and does not leave the work site littered with rubbish. One of our neighbours has since engaged Michael to carry out work on their roof. Happy to provide a verbal reference. Happy customers!

Mick repointed and washed our roof. I told him it looked great and didn't need painting now. He insisted it did.

Mick told us he couldn't paint it until after a sunny day to ensure dry tiles. Mick arrived one morning after a heavy downfall ready to paint. Tradesman were installing a Bamboo floor at the time. I told Mick he couldn't paint and reminded him it poured rain all night. Mick became arrogant and told me to send the Floorers away. He insisted the roof be painted that day. We gave in.
A short while after the roof was painted we heard dripping in our bedroom roof. I rang Mick and asked him to look in our roof. He told me he'd come if a stain appeared on the ceiling. I told Mick the damage would already be done. My husband then rang Mick and asked him to come. Mick refused. They argued on the phone. I rang Mick back and he told me if my husband apologise he'd come. My husband rang and apologised. Mick never showed. When contacted he stated he'd walked over our roof while we were out and found nothing. The drip continued so we had someone else look. They found a cracked tile above our bedroom that had been painted over and was separating. Mick was contacted and he came and looked at the cracked tile. He stated my husband or the person who looked on our roof must have done this. Mick ran down our driveway yelling at my husband in an aggressive manner. We then had paint bubbling on our tiles. Mick stated he'd put a pin hole in the tiles and paint over them. We took this to Fair trading. Mick was made to repaint these tiles correctly. We have since had many more tiles with bubbling paint. We had a roof restorer look at the issue. We were told the roof only appeared to have one coat of paint on it. We went back to Fair Trading and were told we'd need a report from a roofer by trade. Roofers have offered to write a report then change their mind. One said they spoke to Mick and they can't write the report now. We paid $5,000 for a crap job. No we're stuffed.
