We hired Adelaide Building Inspections, SA for a building report.
The initial inspection was conducted and the following quote was received from the owner:

A detailed report listing all faults and defects will be $495 incl gst.

We received this quote after the management had been to the property and had viewed the faults and defects of the building job.

What we received from ABI was a 1 page letter which did not list all faults and defects as originally quoted. The main body of information was referenced from our own documentation which ABI requested to aid in the formulation of their building report.

The documents we supplied, which the management/operator of this company requested were not returned more than 3 months after they had finalized a Tax invoice which had taken them 4 times to get right.

We sent a letter of complaint to the management of this company only to receive back a page of excuses that had a greater word count than that of the 1 page letter they sent in lieu of the detailed report.

In 2012 we had commissioned a structural report from this company. This report, a 12 page, spiral bound document with a cover page was provided to us at the cost of $479.00 inc GST. We had rehired this company expecting the same level of service.

1. The 4 attempts for ABI administration to provide a valid Tax invoice after payment is pathetic.
2. ABI provided a 1 page letter instead of a detailed report listing all the faults and defects that the owner/operator as quoted in writing.
3. The recent service provided by the management/operator of ABI is insufficient.

The management/operator of Adelaide Building Inspections has offered no credits or refunds for their incompetence and failure to provide what they quoted.
