Heather is a gem

I have been going there since I first took my daughters there 30 years ago. Both Heather and now also Alison are true professionals and nice as well.

I have been visiting this salon for over 8 months now and I totally love the beautiful ladies that work here. I am always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I completely trust these ladies as they have so much more experience then so many other hairdressers of today. They are constantly updating their skills and cant wait to show me and explain what new techniques and colour recipes they have just learnt. I totally recommend this salon.

This place is disgusting!
I was passing by and asked for a treatment and blowdry.
A simple request one would think. Not here!
I do have thick, long hair and in the Brisbane heat I regularly have blow dries that last up up a week.
A treatment usually costs $12-18 and a blow dry from $35 (MHair Norman Park), $40 (Blow Dry Bar Brisbane City, & Emporium, Fortitude Valley; Oogie, Albert street Brisbane) - $60.
I had the treatment and it was nice. I was then passed to another stylist who asked what I wantedg Nd was told a straighten.
I immediately corrected her and said I wanted a blow dry with large waves.
She told me she had other ideas and would explain while she washed the treatment off.
I repeatedly said I preferred a blow dry as a straighten 'drops' with my heavy hair.
She said she would pin the hair. I kept protesting and said I wanted volume from the ROOTS and preferred a BLOW DRY as I only straightened the day after a wash if I let my natural waves dry and then brushed them out.
She started to do my hair and to my disappointment she used a straightening iron on damp hair which she then pinned. The hair was till damp and I was placed under a dryer!
I read magazine after magazine while holding back my tears as the the steam sizzled from my hair.
The roots, which has only been air dried were wavy and not straightened and the hair had ridiculous curls. I looked like mutton dresses like lamb.
To add insult to injury, I was charged $120!
$120! $20 for the Argan oil treatment and $100 because hid had a 'special' style.
$120! I paid, said 'Wow! I should have checked.'
I immediately got outside and started brushing out the ridiculous curls and put my hair on top of my head.
By the time I got home the hair had dropped. I had knots from the stupid pin curls which had been laden in hair spray (which I never use).
I'm writing this at 3am as I am still so upset. I look ridiculous and have just finished blow drying the kinks out of my roots.
