My old laptop "died" on me and refused to boot.

Suspected I would have to buy a new one and lose some data.

The outcome though was nowhere near as dire.

"Karen" confirmed that the hard drive was stuffed (she used a more technical description).She recommended replacing it with a less mechanical SDD drive.Then she was able to transfer all my files across.

So I am up and running again with full data.

Plus the laptop is running faster than it did and cost me a lot less than I feared.

Cannot recommend Repair Me PC highly enough.
