For anyone seriously interested in cook books, rare ingredients, specialised cooking equipment, and anything related to food, The Essential Ingredient is Nirvana. Ive shopped here for years and have always come home with what I went to the shop for as well as a bag full of other amazing kitchen items I didnt even realise I needed. I can always find an excuse to go, even when I dont need anything. Its wonderful even just to window shop. In addition to cooking classes, one of the best services of this shop is their knife sharpening service. If, like me, you buy good kitchen knives, professional sharpening is a must.
