Without doubt the worst possible choice for any bathroom renovation: they are slow, inept, care nothing for the quality of their work (leaving that to the unwitting client), and unreliable. Twice the workmen failed to arrive on the stated date. Tiles are poorly-laid, the grouting was egg-shell thin in places after three attempts, toilet pan leaking after install and reinstall, and the amount of wastage of tiles was extreme. It is not the client's responsibility to ensure the quality of work, but the person being paid to do that work to an acceptable standard. Checking under our house, the leaking toilet connection is worse than I thought: rather than use a bracket to secure the waste pipe, they propped it up with a scrap piece of PVC pipe. They used an angle-grinder indoors to cut the tiles to an approximate level after installing, filling our wardrobe with dust and our bedroom too. I told them to take their things and leave after that episode. My wife is near tears and I'm furious.
